At Robert Tesoriero Optometrists, our eye examinations go beyond just checking your vision. We use advanced diagnostic technologies alongside thorough clinical assessment to evaluate the health of your eyes, detect early signs of disease (often even before symptoms are noticed), and monitor changes over time. This comprehensive approach allows us to provide personalised care and help protect your vision now and into the future.
Optos Ultra-Widefield Imaging
Optos imaging captures up to 200 degrees of the retina in a single scan, allowing us to examine a much wider area of the eye that traditional methods cannot capture. It helps detect and monitor various conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and retinal tears.
Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)
OCT is a non-invasive scan that provides highly detailed cross-sectional images of the retina and optic nerve. It allows us to observe subtle structural changes that cannot be seen during a standard eye test, enabling early detection and monitoring of conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease.
Retinal Imaging
Retinal imaging captures high-resolution photographs of the back of the eye, including the retina, optic nerve and blood vessels. These images help identify early signs of eye disease and allow us to monitor changes over time. Many eye conditions develop without symptoms, making retinal imaging an important part of a thorough eye examination.
Additional services are available when necessary, including visual field testing and contact lens fitting.
Visual Field Testing
Visual Field Testing measures your peripheral (side) vision to detect changes that may indicate early signs of glaucoma, optic nerve damage, or other eye conditions. It’s a quick, non-invasive test that helps us monitor and protect your long-term eye health.
Contact Lens Fitting
Our Contact Lens Fitting service ensures your lenses are customised for your eyes, providing optimal vision, comfort, and eye health. We offer expert guidance for first-time wearers as well as experienced users, with ongoing support and follow-up care.
